Class Information

Grasshoppers

This is our entry level Class, all children under 7 years old must begin in this class.
This class is for Pre-K and Kindergarten aged kids with minimum Martial Arts
Experience This class builds the foundation for the strong development
in the Martial Arts.
When beginning as a Grasshopper students will start out wearing their
uniform pants and their RMAA t-shirts. Upon earning their Stripe
Master Rasha will “Dress” them in their full uniform and permit them to wear
their belt and uniform top. In this class we focus our instruction on,
and test for promotion based on, systematic training.

Little Tigers

This is our advanced youth class. Children must first attend our
Grasshoppers Class. Master Rasha personally accesses the skill level and
ability to focus of all our students. It is his decision alone if a child is invited to Little
Tigers.
Little Tigers is a class for children that have exhibited exceptional skill in one or
more of the aspects of Tae Kwon Do, but most of all it is a class for young students
who show a great ability to focus. Students will be trained in Olympic Style
Tae Kwon Do Sparring and Classic Forms as well as the basics of Han Mu Do.
The Little Tigers class is not a class that every student will be asked to participate
in, we recognize that children all learn at different speeds, our kinder class and
youth class are designed to accommodate the majority of our students.
Students will be tested every 6-8 weeks for belt promotion. Children selected to
be Little Tigers may remain in this class until it is age appropriate for them to be
moved to our Leopards Class.

Leopards

This is our General Youth class. Youth Tae Kwon Do is the focus at Rasha
Martial Arts Academy. We feel that children who commit themselves to
Martial Arts early benefit greatly and for the rest of their lives.
Students will be trained in Olympic Style Tae Kwon Do Sparring and Classic Forms
as well as the basics of Han Mu Do. Classes are broken out by day of the week
into Conditioning, Forms, Kicking, and
Sparring.
Students will remain in this class until they are 14 regardless of Belt color, with
the exception of early promotion based on Master Rasha’s assessment.
Students will be tested every 6-8 weeks for belt promotion. Students may not test
unless approved by an instructor. Students must complete a topical essay
assigned by Master Rasha prior to testing. Leopards will remain in this class until it
is age appropriate for them to be moved to our Dragons Class.

DRAGON AND PHOENIX

Our Teen and Adult classes. At this time we do combine the class times;
However, Master Rasha and Master Michael instruct these classes
With attention to each students skill and ability level. The Teen class,
The Dragons, is more dynamic with high intensity exercises
and sparring while our Adult class, The Phoenix,
Is focused on flexibility and overall fitness, with specific attention to injury
prevention. Both Dragon and Phoenix classes are taught
Level one Han Mu Do. The Dragon and Phoenix
classes teaches students aged 15 and up regardless of Belt rank.
